Hey, Naima again
I am a passionate life coach dedicated to empowering women in conflict-affected countries to overcome inner challenges, rebuild confidence, and find peace by reconnecting with themselves. My mission is simple yet profound: to help women move forward—despite instability, trauma, or hardship—by strengthening self-belief, cultivating inner resilience, and equipping them with the tools to create meaningful change in their lives and communities.
Having been born in Somalia and raised in Yemen—two countries shaped by conflict and resilience—I deeply understand what it means to grow when the world around you feels like it’s falling apart. My own lived experience fuels my purpose: to hold space for women who are determined to rise, even when everything around them says it’s impossible.
Through 1:1 coaching, group sessions, and community-based programs, I work with women who live in difficult circumstances, especially those who have little or no access to conventional coaching opportunities. These programs are offered free of charge, either directly through online applications or in collaboration with grassroots organizations on the ground.
I am also developing a specialized coaching program in partnership with UN agencies and international NGOs. This initiative focuses on supporting female national staff who are stepping into—or preparing for—senior leadership roles, particularly during transitions when international staff leave due to funding constraints. While both men and women face challenges in these situations, women often encounter additional barriers—from cultural expectations and workplace dynamics to limited mentorship and leadership opportunities.
With over 15 years of experience working alongside international NGOs and UN agencies, including 7 years in leadership roles, I bring a deep, lived understanding of the systems, challenges, and opportunities these women will navigate. This upcoming program will blend practical leadership tools with space for reflection, connection, and growth—fostering change from a place of shared experience and understanding.
I believe there is always a way forward—and I am here to walk beside women as they discover it.
